Great Disciples: Live In Denial

May 3, 2026    Sebastiano Rosa

Following Jesus isn’t just about experiencing His love or enjoying community, it is about surrender and transformation. In Luke 9:23, Jesus challenges the expectations of those who wanted something from Him by inviting them into something far more costly, a daily decision to deny themselves, turn away from old patterns, and embrace a new way of living. Real change is necessary, but it is also hard, and many of us stay stuck by minimizing, blaming, or avoiding what needs to change. This message presses into a deeper question, what might be holding you back from fully following Jesus? Because to the degree we surrender and take up our cross daily, we begin to experience the fullness of His love and become people who can genuinely reflect that love to others.
